| So Unhallowed Metropolis is certainly one of my favourite settings these days. The rich history and atmosphere contained in the first two books alone is enough material for years of varied campaigns across the whole spectrum of literature (albiet with a slightly darker tone than normal). With this in mind I was viewing the wealth of material invented and unearthed by the small yet growing number of people on the games official message boards, when I received a PM asking if I would like to play a doctor in the innaugral play by post game. This was received slightly after I had already contacted the game's coordinator asking to fill the vacancy, but it was still nice to be asked. But last night in the midst of starting to work out exactly how I wanted to approach the character, I was struck by the GM'ing bug again. Now it's been awhile since I've run a play by post, either by e-mail or on a message board, but I thought what the heck, I'll run one. And so I've posted the intention, and irrevocably doomed myself to levels of stress beyond current values. But, as it's on a time delay, I think I'll be able to handle it. So, if you're interested in trying out a new game, or curious to find out more about Unhallowed Metropolis, check out their homepage: http://www.hallowsevedesigns.com/ | |

| Learnt about a very interesting movie today via an invite to go see it from sapphire_wyvern. It looks like a very interesting movie, with first time Director Duncan Jones saying that the film pays homage to those of his youth, such as Silent Running (1972), Alien (1979) and Outland (1981). ( So What's It All About? )Unfortunately given the way work has been recently ( READ: last 9-12 months), I'm not going to be able to accept the invitation to go see the film this evening, but after reading up on it, I would heartily recommend others to go see it. | So I've been hanging onto to posting this for a few days now. Must fans of the TV show Castle, or of Nathan Fillion or ( SPOILER ) would know what's going on. But still, the very idea of it alone makes me smile with joy, let alone seeing it when it finally airs here. So what am I babbling about? ( Just one of the coolest TV moments in history! )But that's just my humble little opinion. ( Further Information ) | |

| Now, I've always been a fan of Carrie Fishers work. But after reading this, and having a bit of look around her site, I'm definitely a fan of Carrie Fisher the person. And I found this via guruwench's livejournal on one of my random wanderings through the internet. Awesome! :) Give it a read: Weight AND Wisdom! | |

| I'm Sorry? How exactly did I miss this? ( Miss what? ) | |

| And it doth hurt.
Saturday morning greeted me with the kind of pain I haven't experienced for some time.
Every muscle seemed to protest at the slightest movement, and even lying still was an unpleasant experience.
Sunday was little better, and today is accompanied by the kind of aching pain that physical exertion normally brings.
A quick check up confirmed what I had already surmised.
My schedule has caught up with my body, and it’s rebelling against the workload.
So I’m going to have to start cutting back on any new activities, and look seriously at those I’m already involved in.
Tag is definitely out for the foreseeable future, plus the Friday night games (I don’t trust myself to survive the drives).
Thursday night should still be okay, as it’s a short round trip, but it’ll be case by case.
Saturday’s should still be doable, but I probably won’t be as willing to do multiple drops home around the greater Perth area.
All in all, I’ve got to take it easy, or I risk doing more damage.

| NO MORE FAVOURS!
Seriously.
If you have a problem, don't come to me to help solve it.
The last few weeks I've had people left right and centre asking me for favours big and small.
Now I'm a generous guy and normally have no problem doing what I can to help.
But coupled with the rest if the crap I'm currently dealing with, it's getting out of hand.
Frankly, if you ask, it will be a flat out NO!

| If you said work, congratulations!
As for me, well I may as well put the broken record back on.
Although, I did get a whole slew of new books today.
It was either that or fix the suspension and put new tyres on the car.
But hey, who needs vehicular safety when you can have reality escaping dead tree material to take your mind off things.
Now, if only they'll help me get a good nights sleep...
